Construction Quality Assurance:

Geotest were engaged by Origin Energy to carry out level 1 CQA supervision over the installation of the triple layer geomembrane installation.

Third Party Testing:

Geotest were engaged by the installer to carry out the third party leak detection survey of the secondary and the primary liner in accordance with ASTM D 7703 ‘Water lance method’.

Research & Development:

Geotest were engaged by Origin Energy to carry out R&D on the alternative non-destructive testing (NDT) available. Ultra-sonic testing and development of the technology was carried out onsite on the installed geomembranes.

Phillip Pond

Phase II – Surat North

Independent Testing Authority:

Geotest were engaged by the installer to carry out the level 1 CQA/CQC supervisor of the single layer 2.00 mm HDPE liner.

Construction Quality Assurance:

Geotest were engaged by the installer to compile and review the final material data reports (MDR). Including As-built drawings and all installation QA/QC reports.

Third Party testing:

Geotest were engaged by the installer to carry out the ‘Liner Integrity Testing’ (LIT) of the installed liner.

Phase II – Surat North
Charlie Pond

Hill Dam
Gawler Re-use scheme

CQA/Design Consultant:

Geotest provided level 1 CQA supervisor for the single layer 2.00 mm HDPE liner installed to the ‘Hill Dam’ project for Bunyips Waters’ ‘Gawler Re-use scheme’ (GWRS). Geotest also acted as a design consultant for the installation and material expert.

Third Party Testing:

Geotest were engaged by the installer to carry out the ‘Electrical Leak Detection Testing’ (ELDT) in accordance with the technical specification to detect any defects missed during the contractors’ defect identification process.

Wingate Dam
Gawler Re-use scheme

CQA/Design Consultant:

Geotest provided level 1 CQA supervisor for the single layer 2.00 mm EPDM liner installed to the ‘Wingate Dam’ project for Bunyips Waters’ ‘Gawler Re-use scheme’ (GWRS).​

Geotest also acted as a design consultant for the installation and material expert.

Geotest were engaged by Origin Energy to carry out level 1 CQA supervision over the installation of the triple layer geomebrane.

Third Party testing:

Geotest were engaged by the installer to carry out the third-party leak detection survey of the secondary and the primary liner in accordance with ASTM D 7703 ‘Water lance method’.

Spring Gully Water Treatment

Facility Feed Dam West/East/Effluent-Pond A
Jun 2014 – Sep 2014

Construction Quality Assurance:

Geotest was engaged for CQA by the installing contractor for Origin to install the triple liner on the three cell pond.

Third Party Testing:

Geotest was engaged to conduct the electrical leak detection of the single liner pond using the Water Lance Method, in accordance with ASTM D 7703.

Commissioning:

Geotest was engaged to assist in commissioning of all three cells, which included: Sump read outs to two sumps, water sampling and testing sump water and reporting any potential leaks for rectification.

Spring Gully Water Treatment Facility-Pond C

May 2014 – Feb 2015

Construction Quality Assurance:

Geotest was engaged for the CQA from the installing contractor regarding the secondary liner, geonet leak detection system and the primary liner installation on the four cell pond.

Third Party Testing:

Geotest was engaged to conduct the electrical leak detection of the triple liner pond using the Water Lance Method, in accordance with ASTM D 7703 for the secondary liner and the Dipole Probe method, in accordance with ASTM D 7007 for the Primary Liner.

Commissioning:

Geotest was engaged to assist in commissioning of all four cells, which included: Sump read outs to all 16 sumps, water sampling and testing sump water and reporting any potential leaks for rectification.

Talinga Transfer Station

Nov 2014 – Dec 2014

Geotest was engaged for the CQA on the installing contractor regarding the primary liner installation for the single liner system pond.

Third Party Testing:

Geotest was engaged to conduct the electrical leak detection of the single liner pond using the Water Lance Method, in accordance with ASTM D 7703.

Condabri – Brine Pond 2

Feb 2015 – May 2015

Construction Quality Assurance:

Geotest was engaged by civil contractor for CQA on the installation for the secondary, geonet leak detection system and primary liner installation.

Third Party Testing:

Geotest was engaged for electrical leak detection of the secondary and primary liner using the Water Lance Method, in accordance with ASTM D 7703.

Condabri – Brine Pond 5 & 6

Electrical Leak Detection:

Geotest was engaged to conduct the electrical leak detection of the triple liner pond using the Water Lance Method, in accordance with ASTM D 7703 for the secondary liner and the Water Probe method, in accordance with ASTM D 7007 for the Primary Liner.
